STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This reservation is not transferable.
Occupancy is one family (parents and their dependent children) or four adults per cottage. No gatherings and parties of any nature are allowed in the cottage or on the property. Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages reserves the right to evict any additional occupants in the cottage. We do not mind the occasional guest visiting our renters, but we ask that you respect our occupancy limits.
We do not allow any pets at our cottages. We love dogs, but not everyone else does. We maintain a very high standard of cleanliness, but cleaning all pet hair away is impossible and this is problematic in the event the next guests are allergic to pet hair. We cannot allow any pets in the cottages or on the property.
We do not allow tents because all the extra people staying in tents impact the property, septic system and people using the inside of the cottages.
Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages reserves the right to send guests away from the property due to their conduct and behavior or for any other safety, security, medical reasons. This applies in particular, if guests do not observe instructions given by property employees, express themselves in a discriminating manner, harass or endanger other guests.
Guests will not be permitted to compromise the health, safety and security aspects of Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages at any point of time.
All the assets and valuables of Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages should be duly maintained adequately and should not be damaged or destroyed. Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages has the discretion to levy any charges in future if it is proven beyond doubt that such damage/destruction to the asset of the property (both movable and immovable) have been done or caused by the guest.
Management and staff work hard to provide a safe and secure environment. We do everything possible to ensure a secure environment is maintained and we ask that our guests do also. Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages takes no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced whilst on the premises due to the acts and omissions of the guests themselves.
Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately. Please check the latest information posted herein to inform yourself of any changes.
We do our best to ensure reservation arrangements are satisfactory, however, Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages does not accept any liability for any loss financial or otherwise, travel delay, injury, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control. These include, but not limited to, flight delays or cancellations, civil disturbance, defects in vehicles, strikes, theft, acts of terrorism, natural disaster, war, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, changes to Government regulations, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment, maintenance requirements or industrial action.
During your stay, you are responsible for being aware of and following all Michigan boating and fishing laws and regulations. While we provide boats for our guests, it is your responsibility to ensure that all passengers are wearing proper life preservers. Swimming, recreating in and use of the lake and Fisher’s Lakeside Cottages property is done so at your own risk. We do not have a lifeguard, thus it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure safe swimming and boating practices.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All reservations require a 50% deposit to hold a cottage with the balance of the rental plus 6% use tax paid in full 30 days prior to arrival. When making a reservation for a Summer week (between Memorial Day and September 15), you MUST cancel 90 days or more, prior to your arrival date, to receive your deposit back (less a $50 cancellation fee). Reservations for Spring and Fall stays (prior to Memorial Day and after September 15) require a 30-day cancellation notice, prior to date of arrival, to receive your deposit back (less the cancellation fee).
All cancellations are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If the property is re-rented at the full rental rate, a deposit refund is made less the cancellation charge of $50. If you are concerned that something may come up where you may have to cancel, we recommend that you purchase vacation insurance through a third party agency.
This policy is based on the reality of a short rental season and the timing of when guests plan and make reservations.
